3 Reasons to Use ShackPrices.com

1. You’re thinking of selling your house and you want to see what similar houses have sold for. Lots of folks will give you a list of nearby properties that have sold, but with ShackPrices, you can actually see where they are. Is the more expensive one on a cul-de-sac? Is one right next to a busy road? You can see right away on ShackPrices maps.
2. You’re thinking of buying a house and you want to see what you can get for your money in a neighborhood. Set your price range, set everything else wide open, and zoom in on an area you’re interested in. Click on a few houses and see what they have to offer. Want a specific size or number of bedrooms? Set that and zoom in to see what that would cost. You might think that sites that just show you properties that are for sale can do this just as well, but, as Ardell at Rain City Guide points out, what’s on the market is not reflective of what sells on the market.
3. You want to spy on your neighbors. You watch the for sale signs go up, see the listing price, and it’s sold and a new neighbor moves in. You don’t want to rudely ask your new neighbor if they paid THAT MUCH, but you want to know. In fact, you have to know. It’s killing you. Use ShackPrices to zoom in on your house and see how much the creepy old man down the street got for his house and how much the new yuppie paid him.

Safari looks good

If you had a Mac and were desperately looking for home sale data, ShackPrices was usable, but the formatting was not pretty. Now, just like your Mac, it’s very pretty. Thanks for catching the problem, Stuart. Enjoy.

“Link to this page” has arrived

Is your neighbor’s house for sale and you want to know what it sells for? Of course, but, if you’re like me, you don’t really want to come to our site, find the place, zoom in, and change the number of bedrooms etc. just to find that it hasn’t completely closed yet. Enter the “link to this page” button.
If you want to send a page to your buddy or bookmark a view for future use, click on “link to this page” in the lower right (or just copy and paste it into an email). Then you can copy the link from the address bar.
